David Mischiu10044I sincerely hope that this petition will be enough to dissuade Extell from propagating the development trends that have diminished the viability for thousands of New Yorkers to live comfortably in their neighborhoods (without worrying about being priced out or having their public schools overrun-another major problem in itself); and have diminished the viability of the new development to attract a decidedly more diverse population than would a typically high-priced riverside development. Moreover, in this day and age, setting out to construct a new development in such an exclusive location (and with such a forward-looking design and concept) without at least adhering to LEED Gold standards is not only redundant, it is ignorant and hardly beneficial to the public good or the environment at large. Hopefully, this petition will be enough to persuade Extell to compromise a portion of their projected profits for the public good; 'hopefully' being the operative word.
